DIRECTIONS
Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Lansing lies in the shadow of Phoenix Mountain. The waters of Big Horse Creek run through town. Within close proximity to the New River, Virginia Creeper Trail, and with abundant natural resources, the region offers many year round outdoor sports and activities.
Lansing is approximately 15 minutes from West Jefferson, 45 minutes from Boone, 1-1/2 hours from Winston Salem, and 2 hours from Charlotte.
Driving Directions:
From downtown West Jefferson, travel NC-194 N toward Warrensville.
In Warrensville, turn RIGHT and continue on 194 N to Lansing.
In Lansing, turn RIGHT at the stoplight (194 N continues).
Approximately 1 mile up 194 N you will see the festival grounds.

The Town of Lansing was established in the late 1800’s. It is located approximately 5 miles south of Virginia and 10 miles east of Tennessee. Lansing was a boomtown enjoying business and population growth during the arrival of the Norfolk and Western Railroad in 1914. Local people worked and mined ore from Lansing. By the end of 1922 the mining boom was over.
In the 1960’s the diesel engine train went through Lansing for the last time. With the departure of the railroad, businesses and population declined.
